Have you ever wanted a simplistic look at the framework of HITECH? This is it which is from the website of the Health IT Dashboard where you can find all kind of statistical and other information as it relates to the adoption of medical records through the anticipated goals.
On the left hand side you see areas where activity takes place. In the middle those activities funnel through to 3 different objectives and the end result are the goals on the right. At the website you can use a mouse over each state to see each value.
In addition the chart below shows in millions the planned HITECH obligations for fiscal years 2009 to 2014. What stands out as far as the big dollars are the State Health Information Exchange Program and the REC centers which help physicians find and locate a medical record system for their offices.
In addition the REC center numbers show there’s a ways to go with demonstrating Meaningful Use as there are plenty enrolled and live on EHR systems but the blue line needs work, those who have actually demonstrated Meaningful Use.
