Just before the end of the year Aprima announced their MyWay Rescue Plan and now OmniMD (PR) has thrown their name in the hat but this is a a free conversion and not the same as the Aprima offer.  You can read at the link below for a little additional background information with those two programs.

Allscripts and Aprima Settle Legal Battle Relative to “Allscripts MyWay” EMR Advertising–Two Options for “MyWay” Users to Convert

This is in fact the same type of offer that Allscripts made themselves with a free conversation.  The hitch with the free conversion of course is that you switch and move to their EHR system. image It is a bit of time and labor to convert so asking to switch to their system is not out of the question and this yet gives practices another choice if they didn’t like the full Allscripts EHR that replaced MyWay.

This is time limited though and ends April 30th of this year and they want a payment by then.  OmniMD also has practice management and revenue cycling software for sale.  The company has around 11,000 users and has a cloud based enterprise version.

In addition, they also have Omni-Xchange which I am guessing is the peer to peer answer for exchanging records securely with other medical records outside of OmniMD.  eClinicalWorks, another vendor also has their exchange which does the same thing.

“OmniXchange can integrate with all ambulatory and hospital electronic medical records (EMR)/EHRs, lab information systems, practice management systems, e-prescribing systems and document management.”

The company also states that together all their various models represent some or most of the software needed for creating an ACO.
