Wired input devices are objects that have a wire and must be plugged into the computer in order to process the data.
There are three different types of wired input devices that work well with speech recognition software (Dragon® Medical).

Dictaphone PowerMic II
Philips SpeechMike Pro
Philips SpeechMike Pro
Similar to the PowerMic II, the Philips SpeechMike Pro (5274, 5276) can be used with Dragon Medical to enhance the physician’s control of dictation and navigation. The SpeechMike has customizable buttons and is light-weight so you will be comfortable while dictating.
What sets the SpeechMike apart, is the fact that it has a track ball for mousing.
