We ran through our budgeted training of $25000 in roughly 3 weeks- and we even cancelled out last week of scheduled training. We weren't allowed to call support when the system malfunctioned without our trainers approval- and it would take hours to get a hold of a trainer to auth the call. One time our system was down for a 1/2 a day waiting for the approval to call support-
When we sent in our cancellation- we received no response from the company after 4 months- even though we have ultimately sent them 3 certified letter- It was as if we didn't exist. Stay away from greenway- I feel there product is not as easy to use compared to other systems and I have real concerns about there business ethics.

eCW should keep the Support Account Managers (SAM) permanently...you lose them one year after implementation. It gets frustrating to open a ticket, send emails, make calls and not get a response in a timely manner.

Regardless of which product you choose, know that there is no perfect PM/EMR...you have to decide which one best meets your needs, then swallow the good with the bad. eClinicalWorks best meets our needs and we are working through the issues.

If they can keep the price low like in the past, I wonder why thousands of docs would not want to purchase this product. My fear is if they are successful, their yearly cost will dramatically increase for all current users.

Its a very good software. But the biggest issue is the expense of annual maintenance fees. They charge 18% of the CURRENT total cost! That means you may pay $50K initially but will pay another $8K every year. There are other less powerful EMRs out there that are JUST AS fine and cost a small small fraction of Nextech but if money is no object then this is the best total modular EMR system.

I am home earlier with my kids but at the same time I am seeing more patients. My take home is absolutely much better and me and my PA both are not dreading anymore the days when we see more than 50 patients.

It has changed the practice and my life for the better.

I am in a solo Geriatrics private practice and this was a very affordable option that is functional from the various locations in which I practice because of the internet access. Also found the guarantees of meeting the Meaningful Use criteria very appealing.
